Where does the time go!

I am so behind on posting here!  Some of the photos in the header are from our Thanksgiving Day lunch at my sister-in-law's house.  It was as always lovely.  The cousins always have the best time together and the family resemblances seem to get stronger the older they get.  I must say, we have the most beautiful girls and the most handsome boy cousins around!  I'll be back soon when I get some photos of projects to post.  It is not that I don't creat, but I don't take the photos!

A couple of photos from croptoberfest

We had our annual Croptoberfest at New Life last Friday and Saturday.  It was such a busy weekend in DeRidder-cancer walk, Kari Jo's shower-that our group was small but wonderful.  We really had a productive and fun time.  Here are a couple of photos of the goodie bags we made for the group.  I really love the way they turned out.

Hi there-I'm still alive and kicking!

I have to be the world's worst blogger.  I like to read blogs, but I am terrible at posting to them.  Anyway, here is a card I designed for my niece's baby shower.  I really like how it turned out.  I used the Cricut New Arrival cart for the monkey at 4".  I used CM cardstock for the monkey and card base.  I used DCWV for the rest of the card and I got the ribbon at a local LSS in Lake Charles-Woven Hearts.  I cut "eli" at 1" from Nursery Rhymes, my new favorite font cart even though it isn't really a font cart!

Not really much of a blogger....

Well, I guess anyone who has stumbled upon this blog has realized that I am still struggling with posting here more than every 6 weeks or so.  I will try to do better....

Here is a little card I made for my DH's "Girl Friday's" lingerie shower.  Krystal and Josh got married Saturday night in a beautiful ceremony.  More about the wedding later.  I made this little card to accompany her lingerie shower.  The gift looks a lot like this only it is solid black.

Krystal also asked me to decorate some water bottles that she was putting in the goody bags of the out-of-town guests.  I used my trusty Cricut and some vinyl and they turned out well.

Yudu screen print

Here's a design I created with my Cricut Design Studio and then used vinyl to make a screen and printed it on the shirt.  Very easy to do and you can virtually make any design you can cut or print!

Time for another layout

This layout was made from Fresh Pickins.  This cart has some really wonderful cuts on it.

Wow, time really flies.....

Just a few years back (it seems), I gave birth to my precious baby daughter, Casey, and yesterday she had a birthday and finished her college career at LSU!  Yep, her last test was on her birthday.  Quite a memorable day for her.  She will graduate in August with honors and I couldn't be prouder.  Today, her dad will have his 60th birthday-but he says the ones since Casey was born don't count-ha, ha!  We are going to meet her for lunch today in Lafayette to celebrate all our blessings.  Just a few photos to bring back some memories!

Casey and I when she was about 6 months old.  Boy am I young!  This is one of the few pictures that I have digitized on my computer.  Times have really changed for photos since she was born.

Casey and I on our trip last weekend to see "Wicked".  We had so much fun and it was a great production.  We are in the Magnolia Hotel in Houston.  It is a wonderful place to stay and very close to the Hobby Center.

Casey and Ralph, my two favorite people!

Cricut Army Demo

Well, the initial demo dates are done, but Provo Craft has signed on for the next quarter.  I think I'll be at the same store but who knows?!  They may add additional stores in the area, so I may be working there.  All my jobs seem like play, don't they?  Teaching PE to K and first grade students and playing with Cricut machines. They say you need to love your job, and I really do.  I don't always love some of the things that go along with it, but I love the kids and I love to craft.  Now, if I can just use the next two weeks to get things done around my home, I'll be happy.  Here are some pictures of my demo time.  Hope you enjoy them.
These are cuts from the Cricut Cake cartridges.

A day off!

Just got a new job for a couple of months on Sunday afternoons!  I will be demonstrating the Provo Craft Cricut Cake at Michaels in Lake Charles!  I got the machine yesterday and I'll be practicing with it for a few days.  If you are down in LC on a Sunday afternoon, drop by and give me some moral support!  Or better yet, buy a Cricut product-LOL!  I'm very excited about this, but if you really think about it, I'm just doing what I always do in a new way-teaching!!!

Most people that know me know that my neice Ellen got married last weekend.  She was a beautiful bride and the wedding was absolutely perfect.  Jesse Reich and his wife, Natalie, took the wedding photos and they are priceless.  Catherine Guidry took Ellen's bridal and engagement photos and they are just stunning.  Both of these young photographers are gifted and creative artists.  You can check out their sites at the links below.  Jesse is in Tulsa, OK and Catherine is in Baton Rouge, LA-check them out!
