I went to Woven Hearts yesterday and got there too late for the Creative Cafe, but when I saw the mini book they did, I begged for a kit! Since Nola was still there, she sweetlymade up a kit and gave me the directions for the little book. I think it will be a perfect little book for some of Casey's trip to Paris photos. What do you think? Cuuuuute, huh?
I'm still just playin' around! I'm posting about my favorite things and activities. I love to stamp, play with paper, and create with my little cutting machines! I enjoy nothing better than creating something fun and beautiful!

My little book "Life's Moments".
Spent a great weekend last week at Woven Hearts Scrapbook Store in Lake Charles, LA where I took a class from the sweet Nola. I went with Mary, my buddy and partner in scrapbook spending. The store had all their paper 40% off, so of course, I had to partake!!
Any way, this little book was taken from an article by Jane Tragenza in "Scrapbooking and Beyond Magazine" winter issue. Nola prepared everything for the book so that we could make it. Of course, she adapted it so that we could finish in the time alloted and I will probably add a few things to it as I add pictures. If you have a chance to take a class at WH, I highly recommend it. Here are some photos of my book.

This is our cover. We used primarily Graphic 45 papers. I chose this title because of the phrase, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." That phrase will be printed and mounted on the next page.
I am thinking that this page will have photos of my parents and our family growing up.
This page will show pictures of my parents, little me and David and possibly little Ralph. Also one of our wedding photos.
These will be for baby Casey and our family.
I'm thinking Casey and family photos.
Casey as a child at Christmas will go here.
Casey's graduation and below maybe our 35th anniversary photos.
I also need to come up with something for inside the back cover or I can leave it blank. We really had fun with this. Thanks for looking!
Blog award
Angie from http://angiespaperpassion.blogspot.com/ and Jenn from http://craftyfulgardens.blogspot.com/ have both given me the Liebster Blog award. I want to thank these two very much for their encouragement! Please hop over to their blogs and check out the wonderful work they do.
![Liebster_blog_love_blog_Award[1] Liebster_blog_love_blog_Award[1]](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsrVCxH5FS8iYuoH_W6SJAi5WXz4ZsBWvsJ7LCMmqa8l7zel9PIzQ9cTI9yUqR7zWy7WJQK_SUzVYlOdYgYya3PzKnCQ1aQDLqc7-0WYRy-2lpW_Qddgt56NKXHOy8cZsxYKrLzyAAtpo/?imgmax=800)
The Liebster Blog award is given to bring newer blogs into the light. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise have been noticed and should be!
As recipient you must share the love and pass it along to others. As well as these four things:
1. You must post on your blog and tell a little about the award and announce your 3-5 picks.
2. Let those know you have chosen them.
3. Copy and post the award on your blog for all to see.
I’ve decided to pass this award on to the following wonderful blogs:
1. Cindy at http://www.scrap-obsessed.blogspot.com/
2. Amee at http://adkpapercrafting.blogspot.com/
3. Alex at http://www.scrappidyashy.blogspot.com/
4. Brandi at http://www.pink-scrap-attack.blogspot.com/
5. Amy at http://scrap-pix.blogspot.com/

Thank you!
Thanks to all who participated in the Fabulous Fifty Blog Hop and thanks for all the encouraging comments! Thanks also to Angela who invited me to participate-I hope we all get together to do another one soon. I will take all the comments before midnight and draw for the Stork's Delivery cart. These carts are not even available to us until March 1, so I will order that day if I have the winner's info. I may have a surprise up my sleeve for one or two runners-up that I will even throw the late posters names into. I will absolutely cut it off at midnight tonight for the surprise prize. I will announce the winners tomorrow. Thanks again and I will have a new post for you this week with a great little album I worked on this weekend.

Fifty and Fabulous Blog Hop and Blog Candy!
If you are here for Angie's Paper Passion's 50th Birthday Blog Hop and you have just come from visiting Normea at http://mmdezigns.blogspot.com/, then you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to http://angiespaperpassion.blogspot.com/ and start at the beginning.
I can't tell you how excited I am to be celebrating with all the gals on the Fifty and Fabulous Blog Hop today! We are happy to wish Angela a very happy birthday! And I, for one, am happy to welcome her to the over 50 gang!
Angela asked only that we make a project of any kind depicting a celebration, birthday or party using our Cricut. I am primarily a scrapbooker, so I decided to make a double page layout. Since my daughter and husband have birthdays on consecutive days in July, we always celebrate them together. Both of them hate to have their picture taken and this year was no exception. These were taken inside a dark and wonderful restaurant called Prejeans in Lafayette, LA. They are not good pictures, but they are what I have!! I try not to make the layouts too girly or too masculine. I really like the way they turned out this year.
I used a hodgepodge of paper and items I had on hand to make this layout. I'll try to list what I used, but forgive me if I leave something out and feel free to let me know if I do and I'll add it later.
I used:
Cricut Celebrate with Flourish cartridge
Creative Memories cardstock, printed paper, adhesives and tools
Basic Grey printed cardstock, Lemonade
Pearl accents are from Kaisercraft
Bo Bunny cardstock and buttons
Cuttlebug and swiss dots embossing folder
Prima flowers
Chalk Ink by VersaMagic
Numbers are Thickers
Karen Foster scrapping floss
Celebrate ribbon (came from a local scrapbook store, Woven Hearts, and I don't know the manufacturer)
There is one sweet floral paper that I don't know the manufacturer
Now for the blog candy! I will give away one of the new Creative Memories exclusive Cricut carts, Stork's Delivery, to one of the lucky blog hoppers! Just leave a comment today before 12:00 midnight or follow my blog and you will be eligible to win! I am new to blogging, so this will be chosen the old fashioned way, numbers in a hat!! Please leave me a way to contact you!

Christmas Decor is out and Mardi Gras is In
Actually, I had this all done last weekend but I haven't gotten it on this blog. Ugh! I promised myself I would do better at this and I'm already a week behind! Any way here are some of the decorations at our house.
