Thanks to all who participated in the Fabulous Fifty Blog Hop and thanks for all the encouraging comments!  Thanks also to Angela who invited me to participate-I hope we all get together to do another one soon.  I will take all the comments before midnight and draw for the Stork's Delivery cart.  These carts are not even available to us until March 1, so I will order that day if I have the winner's info.  I may have a surprise up my sleeve for one or two runners-up that I will even throw the late posters names into. I will absolutely cut it off at midnight tonight for the surprise prize.  I will announce the winners tomorrow.  Thanks again and I will have a new post for you this week with a great little album I worked on this weekend.

Fifty and Fabulous Blog Hop and Blog Candy!

I can't tell you how excited I am to be celebrating with all the gals on the Fifty and Fabulous Blog Hop today!  We are happy to wish Angela a very happy birthday!  And I, for one, am happy to welcome her to the over 50 gang! 

Angela asked only that we make a project of any kind depicting a celebration, birthday or party using our Cricut.  I am primarily a scrapbooker,  so I decided to make a double page layout.  Since my daughter and husband have birthdays on consecutive days in July, we always celebrate them together.  Both of them hate to have their picture taken and this year was no exception.  These were taken inside a dark and wonderful restaurant called Prejeans in Lafayette, LA.  They are not good pictures, but they are what I have!!  I try not to make the layouts too girly or too masculine.  I really like the way they turned out this year.

I used a hodgepodge of paper and items I had on hand to make this layout.  I'll try to list what I used, but forgive me if I leave something out and feel free to let me know if I do and I'll add it later.

I used:

Creative Memories cardstock, printed paper, adhesives and tools
Basic Grey printed cardstock, Lemonade
Pearl accents are from Kaisercraft
Bo Bunny cardstock and buttons
Cuttlebug and swiss dots embossing folder
Prima flowers
Chalk Ink by VersaMagic
Numbers are Thickers
Karen Foster scrapping floss
Celebrate ribbon (came from a local scrapbook store, Woven Hearts, and I don't know the manufacturer)
There is one sweet floral paper that I don't know the manufacturer

Christmas Decor is out and Mardi Gras is In

Actually, I had this all done last weekend but I haven't gotten it on this blog.  Ugh!  I promised myself I would do better at this and I'm already a week behind!  Any way here are some of the decorations at our house.

Where does the time go!

I am so behind on posting here!  Some of the photos in the header are from our Thanksgiving Day lunch at my sister-in-law's house.  It was as always lovely.  The cousins always have the best time together and the family resemblances seem to get stronger the older they get.  I must say, we have the most beautiful girls and the most handsome boy cousins around!  I'll be back soon when I get some photos of projects to post.  It is not that I don't creat, but I don't take the photos!

We had our annual Croptoberfest at New Life last Friday and Saturday.  It was such a busy weekend in DeRidder-cancer walk, Kari Jo's shower-that our group was small but wonderful.  We really had a productive and fun time.  Here are a couple of photos of the goodie bags we made for the group.  I really love the way they turned out.
